There are three possible setups transmission wise that you can use.
Stock - legal at all tracks, but not best.
Welded diff - illegal at most tracks, but makes both wheels turn at the same time, which is a slight improvement over stock transmission. Its very difficult to turn on the street with a welded diff, and its easily identifiable as being welded. The track only needs to jack the front end up and spin one wheel, and the other wheel spins.
LSD - using a LSD is best, because you have power go to the outside wheel to help push you out of the corners. When you turn left, the right wheel gets more power to propel you to the left. When you turn right, the left wheel gets more power. Also at the track, its much harder to identify compared to the welded diff when a LSD is installed because the transmission still acts like an open, stock transmission.
