DEPO Projector Headlights 03-05 Neon / SRT-4

Depo discontinued these lights in early 2020. When we asked Depo bring them back, they told us they would offer them again if we placed an order for 100 sets of these. Because we are committed to the Neon SRT-4 market, and we did not want to have this part disappear forever, we placed the order. We now have them in stock, but we cannot guarantee we can do another run of these. So if you want a set, don't delay as these wont be around for long!

These headlights are a complete replacement for the factory lights, and come preinstalled with new headlight gasket surrounds. These are a direct replacement, and require no cutting, no modification to your car to install.

The low beam is a projector light, that produces a razor sharp light output. The high beam uses a standard reflector. Both low beam and high beam have bulbs preinstalled. You simply connect your factory headlight wiring to these and they will begin working immediately.

Both low beam and high beam use a H7 55 watt bulb.

These headlights are sold as a pair.

Ask a Product Question

  • Keith
Are the gaskets on these headlights worth keeping, or should I replace them with the factory gaskets?
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

The gaskets that come with the Depo projectors work fine. However, they use the factory fastening design, so if you decide to transfer over your gaskets you can.

Hi Guys, really want to buy a pair of these. But first I would like to know if there's a specific HID kit you'd recommend for these. Better yet...can these use HID bulbs at all? Thanks :)
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

We cannot recommend a kit due to the fact if you use an HID kit you will void your warranty. As far as HID kits goes, yes these can use HID's but be careful to not melt the projectors.
  • Cliff
With replacement/upgraded bulbs, do you need to add quantity "2" (one for each headlamp)?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

No, we sell our Nokya upgraded bulbs in pairs, or a quantity of one pair would be fine.
  • Adam
I have had these lights on my car for about 3 years now and love them. But I just hit a deer and one of my headlights was badly damaged. Is it possible to just order a single side? I don't want to buy another set if i don't have to.
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

These headlights are only sold in pairs, we cannot split them up.

Are the lenses on these projectors "clear" or "de-tuned"? And are they 2.5" or 3" lenses? The headlights have brilliant cutoff; I am more than happy. It would be great to improve it even more though. I've already voided the warranty and I still plan to add an HID kit.
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

The lenses are clear, we do not know what you mean by de-tuned. We also do not have measurements on the lenses of the projector housings inside the headlights.
  • Dale
Are these smooth or do they have a "bubble" like the version 1 Halo projectors?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

      These have a smooth lense.

What color are the bulbs? are there any pics of them lit up?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

The bulbs are clear, regular oem style bulbs. They will put out a light like all OEM headlights, white/yellowish light.

Ordered these headlights a year ago. Love the look and the light output. But is there a way to adjust/angle the headlight itself to raise the line of vision?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes of course. All headlights we sell have adjustments to adjust the light output in and outwards, and up and down. The adjustment for these are on the back of the light so you have to remove the light, adjust it and then put it back in to check, and readjust if needed.
  • Elijah
With HID's installed, I've heard the projectors will melt. Is it the lens itself that melts, or the housing?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

We have had a very small number of people melt projectors with high wattage hid kits. This is very rare though, and one of our employees even has a 55w hid kit in the Depo Projector lights and they have been working great for a few years now.
  • Aron Kleinschrodt
Dumb question, can I put H7 LED's in the low beam projectors on these? Will they be brighter then the Nokya Arctic White bulb's and will I have any issues?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

As long as your bulbs/hid's/led's have a H7 size socket, you can install them. We have no idea if you'll have any issues. If you use any bulbs other than the ones that come installed, you are on your own. We just have no way to test the 312 different brands of bulbs, different kits, etc and guarantee no issues.

I understand that you have to take off the headlights to adjust the light bulbs but what screw/bolt/nut do I tighten?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

On the backside of the headlight there is a silver colored round adjustment screw. It has a phillips head. Rotate that to adjust the headlight up or down.
  • Clinton
Love the lights! But I'm looking at that hood in the picture! Do y'all know what brand that is?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

The hood on the black Neon SRT-4 is made by the now defunct Fiber Images. Its called the F1 style hood.
  • Brian
Do these leave a gap between the bottom of the headlights and the top of the front bumper like other aftermarket headlights?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

No, these headlights do not have that problem. That is mostly seen on the V1 style projector/halo headlights because the gaskets are cut too short, and we have seen it on some aftermarket OEM style lights. DEPO lights are perfect as far as the gaskets go.
