Accel Fuel Injectors

Model Number: 601109

Price listed is for a set of four (4).

These Accel fuel injectors are designed for use with high performance engines. In high horsepower situations, 200+, the stock injectors may not provide enough fuel. These are especially good in turbocharged applications. If your car is still in the process of built up all motor, (bolt ons only) look for other parts before the injectors.

If your car is 97 or newer, you will need to replace the injector plugs with the RC plug & play clips(no cutting & no soldering), or the RC Engineering injector hardwire clips(cutting and soldering required) also sold here at Modern Performance.

    • Modern Performance

These injectors can be used with either 48 or 58 psi regulators. Stock is 48 psi on a 97 Neon, and we offer the 58 psi upgraded regulators in case you need even more fuel.

After what modifications would you suggest upgrading injectors?

There is no reason to even THINK of changing injectors unless you have a 2.4 swap, or big camshafts or higher compression pistons.

I got my hands on a nice billet fuel rail for my 1st gen coupe (1995). I would like to replace old injectors. I have decent upgrades (cai, tti udp, fidanza flywheel, msd coil, granatelli wires, pacesetter header, borla exhaust, 58 mm TB). Would it make sense to step up to 21 lb/hr over stock 19's? Also, wiring on a '95 should be plug & play, right?
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

Yes, wiring would be a plug and play for the 95 style injector wiring clips. No, we do not recommend you go with a 21 lb injector as it will run too rich. Stick with OEM size, or 19lb injector with your modifications.

Dumb question so I'll probably get a dumb answer but....Would these work on a 97 dodge intrepid with a 3.5L?

This is a universal injector, so it can work on a lot of cars. We have ONLY used this injector on Dodge Stratus 2.4 motors that are being swapped into 95-99 Neons though, and have no other experience in any other application.

I have a sohc neon with a stage 4 cam, ported polished head, milled head, underdrive pulley, header, 60mm throttle body, modern performance computer. Also has accel ignition coil and aftermarket 10mm wires. Which injector would you recommend?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

You'll need to do some testing of injectors to see how your car runs with different sizes, but most likely you could use a set of 21 lb injectors.

I have a 96 dodge neon sohc my question is the sohc have shorter injectors and the dohc are longer so are thes short like the shoc injectors? Can I use these with out modifying my rail
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

No, first gen fuel injectors are all the same length. Thats why fuel rails are interchangeable from 95-05 regardless of them being dohc or sohc. The only difference is connector styles. This particular injector uses a early style neon connector, so if you have a 98/99 you may need to source either from us, or somewhere else injector clips and hardwire the clips into your fuel injector harness.
