We have a few left of these from our last production run. It will probably be another 1.5 years before we do another run so if you want to get one, dont delay!

We are proud to present our Aluminum Rear Diffuser for the 03-05 Neon SRT-4! A sharp looking piece that keeps air from being caught underneath the car at high speeds and helps it exit without too much disruption.

DESIGN
The MPx diffuser is designed to push air away from the rear bumper and carriage to reduce drag and turbulence caused by the rear valance, exhaust and suspension hardware. It also utilizes fins to stabilize the moving air moving past the diffuser.

CONSTRUCTION
There are a total of two large main panels that connect via a connecting plate on the top and one of the main fins in the middle. Every panel are made from aluminum and all pieces are nearly 4mm (or 1/6 inch)thick! (This photo shows that its the thickness of 2 pennies stacked)

This is not just some flimsy sheet metal! All solidly cut, and made in the USA on a plasma cutting machine.

INSTALLATION
Installation secures the panels to nearly 20 points around the bumper and sub-frame. Once installed, the diffuser is extremely solid and good looking. In order to install you'll need to drill holes on the bottom corner of the bumper (once removed it cant be seen unless your under the car!) and four main bolts in the carriage on the bottom of the car.

For those of you that have a side exit exhaust or dump beneath the car, you can get our sold seperately rear diffuser block off kit. This kit includes two aluminum panels that block off the exhaust ports for a nice clean solid looking diffuser. Search for part number 220750-BLOCKOFF in our search bar to see that kit and be sure to add that item, and the diffuser to get both if you want a block off diffuser package.

FITMENT
This diffuser is currently designed to fit with the stock exhaust, Mopar performance exhaust, MPx exhaust. It will NOT fit with the Thermal exhaust. We cannot guarantee fitment at this time with the B&B exhaust, Injen exhaust or other exhausts. Contact us if you have the B&B, or Injen exhaust or any other exhaust to discuss.

We include templates to drill, photograph installation instructions, all stainless steel bolts with nylon lock nuts and 4 self tapping screws.

Note: because this piece has a raw finish, and its not polished, scratches can occur during the manufacturing process. Each piece is hand inspected and we do not allow diffuser fins and panels to pass that are really blemished though.

Furthermore, the diffuser will need to be cleaned after installation to remove fine scuffs and finger prints. We highly recommend using Brasso metal polish to maintain a nice luster and remove finger prints, etc.

      It does not provide any downforce, as this is on the bottom of the car. It does however cut down on drag by creating a more aerodynamically smooth rear/lower valance.

      No, this is not designed for a 95-99 first gen Neon, its for the 03-05 Dodge SRT4. It may work on a first gen with some modification, however we cant assist you with that as we havent tried it ourselves.

      There is no difference between 03/04/05 Neon SRT-4's. We have never had a single fitment issue and have sold this for all year models 2003-2005.

      The discontinued MPx single exit exhaust will not fit with the diffuser.

    Question. If you have no rear exiting exhaust but the stock bumper is not rolled Can the make metal plugs the cover the holes in the bumper grant that the plugs connect to the diffuser itself? It would look funny with just two holes there.

      We are offering two styles here. Regular, just like whats shown in the photos, and we are offering a plugged kit, which is the same as the regular kit but also has precise fit aluminum plugs to cover the holes for the exhaust if you dont have a rear exit exhaust.

    If my 05 ACR is lowered on your bc coilovers about 3" all the way around, what will the ground clearance be? im worried about scraping.

      When you scrape, guaranteed its the front bumper, or the center of the car. If you are scraping the rear bumper of the car, you've got some problems! If you analyze the photos of this kit, you'll see that its not the lowest part of the car, and so it wont be a problem.

      What you need to do to find out if your exhaust will work with the MPx diffuser, is to use a long piece of string, or straight edge and trace the bottom of the bumper from near the wheels to the back. If any part of your exhaust is below the bottom most portion of the bumper where the diffuser would sit, then it wont work with this.

      The Borla exhaust fits above the bottom of the bumper, so it looks like the diffuser would work with that exhaust.

      We're not familiar with that exhaust. Please take a look under your car and if your exhaust does not go below the lowest part of the bumper on the bottom, you'll be fine.

      Looking at photos of the B&B exhaust it looks like it will be fine. However, we have never seen a B&B in person and never attempted to test fit it, so we cannot guarantee fitment.

      We have not test fitted that particular exhaust with a rear diffuser. Its best to go under the rear bumper of your car, and look to see if any part of the exhaust hangs below the lowest part of the rear bumper. If it does, then it wont fit. Just keep in mind the diffuser goes across the lowest part of the rear bumper from driver to passenger side.

    I have a DNA 3" turbo back exhaust system, will this diffuser work with this system?

      The DNA exhaust is a knock off of the Mopar system. The Mopar exhaust will work, but some of the diffuser may need to be trimmed around the exhaust tips. The DNA exhaust has oval tips that are less tall, and they are shorter in length so you should have more clearance than the Mopar. Again, the worst case scenario with Mopar or DNA exhausts is youd need to trim around the tip area.

      For those of you with a exhaust dump or side exit not needing rear tip cutouts, the rear diffuser block off kit is sold separately.

    Will this fit the mopar borla exaust you have here?

      The Mopar exhaust will work, but some of the diffuser will need to be trimmed around the exhaust tips. You'd be cutting the diffuser material further towards the front of the car as the Mopar has long tips that are lower. You'd want to mock up the diffuser under your car, mark with a marker where you need to cut, and you could use a jigsaw, or plasma cutter, or whatever you have to trim the tip opening further.

      Sure why not? We have heard from many customers that have powdercoated and or painted their diffusers.

    Being neon and ptgt are so similar, would this diffuser work on an 05 pt gt with some elbow grease? Sorry for the dumb question. Thanks Nate.

      We have not test fitted to know for sure, but highly doubt the diffuser would work on a PT/GT.

      The most obvious reason, is the muffler hanging below the bumper. The Neon SRT4 does not have that, and because of that, the diffuser wont work.
