(Discontinued) Mopar Performance Blow Off Plate, 03-05 Neon SRT-4 / 08-09 Caliber SRT-4 / 03-07 PT Cruiser GT

Mopar has discontinued this item, we do not have anymore left!

The Mopar Performance Blow-off Valve (BOV) kit for the Caliber SRT, Neon SRT, and PT Cruiser GT. This is the easiest way, (and cheapest) to make a pronounced blow off valve whistle like a HKS/GReddy or aftermarket blow off valve.

NOTE: This piece is NOT a blow off valve, it is a blow off plate. We call it that, because it channels air through the plate to make noise, instead of through the factory blow off valve. It mounts onto the port where your factory blow off valve used to go, and it does not replace your factory BOV. It is mounted in between the port, and the factory BOV.

Included are installation instructions, gasket and bolts. Piece is solid aluminum, and anodized in Mopar blue.

Hi there, after installing this plate, do you need to adjust/change or reroute vacuum lines at all?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

No, definitely not. You keep the same factory vacuum line routing. There is no need to do any rerouting or anything like that. Follow the instructions, and you are done!

Can you use this plate with a Turboxs RFL BOV? Can this handle 35psi of boost?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

You either use this plate with the factory diverter valve to make noise and function as a blow off valve, or you use an aftermarket blow off valve like a Greddy, Hks, Turboxs, etc. You do not use both, as you do not need two blow off valves- both factory and an aftermarket. No, most definitely you should never try to have anything over 20 psi of boost with the factory diverter, you should use an aftermarket blow off valve and block off the factory diverter flange on the turbo.

After you install this, do you need to mess with any tuning? Or after installation I am good to go?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

No, there is no tuning needed. the Neon SRT-4, and Caliber SRT-4 are MAP sensor based cars that can accurately determine how much air is coming into the engine, and adjust for more/less fuel. There is no tuning needed like other cars. You can bolt on this, and immediately drive!

is this part California smog legal, is there a carb eo number?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

(This question and answer should only concern people living in California) This part is not carb (California Air Research Board) compliant. Of the hundreds of parts we offer for the Neon SRT-4 and Caliber SRT-4, the only ones that have a carb number are mostly air intakes, like the AEM and K&N air intakes.

Is there a max boost rating for this or no?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

There is no rating for this piece, but for the factory diverter valve that this works with, we would not run above 22-25 psi. This is because the factory diverter valve is somewhat weak, and could allow a boost leak.
