Mopar OEM Clutch Pivot Fork, 03-05 Neon SRT-4

Model Number: 220178-FORK

  • Have more than 30,000-40,000 miles on your factory Clutch Pivot Fork?
  • Ever notice that the engagement point of your clutch is getting lower and lower?
  • Ever notice that its getting harder and harder to get your car into gears?
  • If you have answered yes to any of the questions above, then you should replace your factory clutch pivot fork with a new one. (Note: We also recommend replacing the clutch pivot ball, sold separately)

This piece is inside the transmission bell housing, and its what the slave cylinder pushes on one side to depress the clutch throw out bearing on the other side against the clutch. This is a brand new replacement part from Mopar.

Here is a closeup of the clutch pivot fork that pushes against the throwout bearing. Over time, these two points wear down, and it doesnt fully depress the clutch anymore. This causes issues with putting your car into gear, and with making the engagement point of the clutch too low. So, if your already having problems, or if your about to change out your clutch, we recommend replacing this while your doing the work!

Clutch Pivot Fork for the 2003-2005 Dodge SRT4

In the areas highlighted in red above, these two tabs wear down over time, and create problems with clutch engagement. When you replace your clutch be sure to replace your clutch fork and pivot ball!

Note: This fork comes with a brand new boot and clip installed.

The stronger the pressure plate is on your clutch, the faster the OEM clutch fork is going to wear out. If you are using a stock, or stock style clutch, you'll be ok. Using a Clutchmasters stage 1, or some minor upgrade no problem. But using a ACT clutch, or Clutchmasters stage 3/4, its going to wear fast and we highly recommend you get the AGP forged fork.

This is designed for the Neon SRT-4. If it works for other cars, then great. We cannot verify fitment for other cars, let alone cars that were never sold in the USA.

would using the OEM fork work well with the SBC stage 2 daily ?

Any clutch that is stronger than factory, will put more pressure on the fork and throw out bearing, so it will wear the fork faster. Therefore, we highly recommend with higher end clutches (other than stock and maybe stage 1) to go with the AGP forged fork.
