For years we stocked the Mopar OEM clutch for the 2003-2005 Dodge SRT-4. In early 2024, Mopar discontinued the OEM clutch.

This may seem like bad news, but it really isnt, because Mopar did not make the OEM clutch, SACHS did. Sachs is a huge OEM supplier of clutches, drivetrain parts. So now that we cannot get the Mopar OEM clutch anymore, the next best thing to do is for us to offer the exact same clutch that SACHS offered to Mopar, but at almost half the price.

The OEM clutches could handle up to about 310 hp back in the day and we expect this to have the same holding capacity. This means you can have all the bolt on parts you want, and increased boost with the OEM turbo and this clutch will handle it fine. So if you want a nice quiet clutch that can handle stock turbo power levels and have smooth, easy engagement, you cant beat this clutch.

This clutch comes with a new throw out bearing as well.

I was wondering what the recommended break in for this clutch is
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Clutches are recommended to be broken in with 500 miles of good stop and go driving. Not hop on the highway and drive 500 miles, but good stop and go driving to give the clutch a good chance to break in.

Does the clutch come with a factory pressure plate too or no?

This clutch is complete with pressure plate, friction disc and flywheel. Nothing else is needed other than the throw out bearing which is sold separately.

What if any warranty is there on this clutch?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This is the same clutch your Neon SRT-4 was built with. For the most part because its a wear item there is no warranty. But, because there are tons of Neon SRT-4's with over 100k on the stock clutch, unless you have too much power for this clutch, or dont drive correctly, you wont have any problems.

I assume an FIPK air intake, remapped ignition, and larger injectors for running ethanol fits your definition of "minor bolt on mods?"
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This clutch can easily handle up to about 320 wheel horsepower. So, that means you can up the boost to close to 20 psi, have intake, exhaust, wastegate, etc other mods, and still be under 300 whp. As long as you have the factory turbo and dont do anything like nitrous or excessive boost pressure this will work fine.

I have a 03 Mopar Stage 2 with Injen short ram, Borla exhaust, and BWS turbo will this clutch work or would you recommend South Bend Stage 1?

This clutch has been used with SRT-4's with up to 300 wheel horsepower just fine. It will start to slip around 320+hp. If you have a factory turbo or stage 2 kit you'll be fine.
