Although Mopar has discontinued their performance exhaust system, we are still able to get a hold of the original Borla Cat-Back Exhaust for the 03-05 Neon SRT-4. This is the same exhaust that was re-packaged and re-branded as the Mopar Performance Exhaust System. Please note, the exhaust tips are stamped with the Borla Logo, not the Mopar logo as pictured.

Dyno Testing:
Peak numbers at 5000 RPMs jump 10 hp and 11 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels. Power is increased across the board, along with a very nice tone and volume of sound. Pull was performed on an SRT-4 with an AEM Intake and Mopar Stage 1 PCM.

This exhaust will also bolt up to an 00-05 Neon 2.0L. It does not have a muffler, so it would be extremely loud. An inline muffler would work well to quiet it. The tips will not align with R/T exhaust cut outs.

  Yes, just like the text in our description says, this exhaust is made by Borla. The only difference is that when you buy it with the Borla name instead of Mopar, it costs $100-$150 more.

  The 00-05 Neon, and 03-05 SRT-4 both have a factory downpipe with a 2.25 inch outlet. This exhaust will bolt to the factory downpipes on both the 00-05 Neon and 03-05 SRT-4 perfectly. No adapter or modification needed.

Does this exhaust have the borla stamps on the top of the tips? Also, do the tips touch the bumper? I dont want my shiny OB bumper charred...THANKS!!!

  Early versions of this exhaust had Borla tips. This exhaust would not touch the bumper.

What would be the best inline muffler to go with this exhaust for an 05 sxt?

  You'd need a 2.5 inch muffler, whatever you can use in the tunnel

  You'll have to use a inline muffler on the B pipe, use whatever you have room for. Put the largest muffler in line to help quieten it down as your 05 Neon is going to be loud with a turbo style exhaust on it.

  This exhaust was designed for Neon SRT4's that have the stock turbo and have none to lots of bolt on mods.

  This is designed to work with the factory downpipe, or any other downpipe that has the factory slip fit style connection that is 2.25 inch outlet and is designed to work with the factory exhaust. If you have any other downpipe, you'll need to do custom work at a muffler shop to have it cut/welded together.

  So like we mentioned earlier in the Q&A these will work great with the Borla cat back exhaust: Stock downpipe, Mopar downpipe, any downpipe that is designed to fit into the factory exhaust will fit with this. EVERY other downpipe (like the Thermal you mentioned will not work unless you modify the outlet so that reduces down to 2.25 inch inlet into the Borla exhaust.)

Would I need to get a new bumper with those cut outs or would exhaust shop be able to do the cut outs on a 05 2.0 sxt?

  The bumper on the 00-05 Neon sits very high compared to the SRT4 bumper that sits lower. So, any SRT-4 exhaust will have no issues with the second gen rear bumper. The issue you will have, is using a turbo exhaust on a non turbo car, it will be louder.

  This is an exhaust system and it does not include a downpipe. There is no catalytic converter on this, this exhaust is meant to connect to the factory downpipe. It has a slip fit connection just like the OEM exhaust.

  This exhaust can be installed on any second gen 2000-2005 Neon, as its the same chassis as the SRT-4. HOWEVER, this exhaust was designed for use on the SRT-4, which is a turbocharged vehicle, and if this exhaust is installed on a non turbo vehicle it will be loud, raspy, and have drone. You could if you want that kind of sound, however we do not recommend ever installing a SRT4, turbo style exhaust on a non turbo car.
