Brake Booster/PCV Vacuum Connection Fix kit 03-05 PT Cruiser Turbo
Model Number: 331128
Aluminum manifold PT Cruiser Turbo's have two metal fittings inserted into the manifold for the brake booster line and pcv line. These fittings from the factory are pressed into the manifold. Over time, with thousands of heat cycles, plus 15-20 psi of boost, and these fittings can come loose, and when they blow out, you wont have brakes!
This happened a few times to one of our 2003 PT Cruiser GT's, and JB weld, and even worm gear clamps could not hold the brake booster line in place. The brake booster line continued to blow out!
So, we decided to fix this problem for good, and we drilled out two new holes in the manifold, tapped them, plugged off the old brake booster vacuum port hole, and used brass threaded vacuum ports to permanently secure our brake booster line and pcv line in place. We know some of you PT Turbo owners out there are having the same problem, so we are offering this as a kit with two brass fittings, a plug and instructions on how to do this fix. You'll need drill bits and a tap to complete the job.
