Model Number: 220734

For the sleekest look, the CBD trunk with the molded PVO style spoiler is the way to go.

Much more subtle than the stock spoiler, the PVO style unit is a great looking piece and now it's available fully molded! This means no tape holding on your spoiler and clean factory molded finish.

The mounting points for the trunk hinges are slotted for adjustment. There is a cut out and mounting tabs for the third brake light and no keyhole. You can still use the keyhole if you want by cutting a hole, but otherwise, you will just use your keyfob to use the trunk mechanism to pop the trunk. Mounting bosses are installed into the trunk to secure the trunk mechanism.

The photo shown of the maroon SRT4 shows a different trunk, with a CF PVO spoiler mounted. This is only to show you roughly what this trunk would look like. That photo is not of a CBD PVO trunk.

Note: These are shipped directly from CBD. The lead time on this item is 4-6 weeks for completion. These items are made to order as they do not keep these in stock.

Our website is not very good at calculating freight costs for big items like this, so if you have a hood and trunk, or hood plus other Fedex shippable items, you may get an error rate, or some outrageous amount. We recommend ordering freight items like this by themselves and then place a separate order for Fedex/USPS shipped items. If you have several freight items, like a hood and trunk you want to buy, we recommend ordering the hood by itself, and then contacting us by phone and adding the trunk, as we can get you a much better rate. Typically we can ship a hood and trunk combo for about $550 but our website may charge a lot more.

You guys have the weight difference between this and the stock trunk lid?

    • Modern Performance

The stock trunk is about 28 lbs and this trunk is about 12lbs.
  • cbo

We currently only stock and sell the spoiler and trunk in carbon fiber.

Would I be able to mount a stock wing to this trunk?

You could, but this trunklid has a built in ramp, or curve to it, that's designed to be by itself and not with another spoiler on it.

Does this come with a new trunk spring to accommodate the loss of weight?

No, no springs are included with this trunk. Only washers and bolts to secure it to the factory latches. You can adjust the OEM spring position to adjust for the weight difference though.
    • Customer Service Rep

No, no new spring included. With a CF trunk, you either have to use your factory springs, and keep your hand above the trunk once you push the trunk release button so it doesn't fly up too fast, or remove the springs altogether. We recommend just keeping your hand above the trunk once you push the release button.

Just got one and was wondering if the spring has to be modified at all so it will sit flat? I've read about people removing the trunk spring all together but just curious on what you guys recommend

Because of the huge weight savings between the steel trunk and carbon fiber trunk, the factory springs that lift the trunk when you pop the trunk open are too strong. There are two adjustments for the springs, you can try the other setting, or just remove the springs altogether. On one of our cars, we just left the springs on but put our hand above the trunk to slowly raise it when we push the key fob to open the trunk.

"Minor drilling is required on the back side to mount the brake lamp and trunk latch." A bit worried about this. What kind of drilling is needed? Pretty much fool-proof? Would hate to drill into a pricey carbon fiber piece and mess up and have the latch not work properly.

This trunk has a hole cut into it for the third brake light. Areas are behind the hole for using C clips that the third brake light will bolt into with the oem bolts and nuts.

The keyhole is not cut out of the trunk because some people want to keep the trunk looking cleaner. You can use the remote trunk mechanism to open the trunk with the keyfob. Steel threaded sleeves are installed into the trunk to secure the trunk mechanism to. You do not have to cut a hole for the keyfob unless you want to. See photos of the trunk in our photos.
