Crower Cams's new racing valve springs deliver the added valve spring pressure, compressed travel and reliability necessary to take advantage of the horsepower, torque and RPM capabilities engineered into the equally new line of performance and racing cams offered for four cylinder engines.

Installing a new set of cams into your 03-05 Neon SRT, 95-05 Neon DOHC, or 95-99 Eclipse NA DOHC? You'll need to install a set of these because your factory valve springs won't tolerate the raised cam lobes in an aftermarket set of cams.

These work with all DOHC camshafts, and work with stock valvetrain keepers.

Available for:

  • 95-99 Neon DOHC
  • 03-05 Neon SRT-4
  • 95-99 Stratus / Breeze / Cirrus 2.4L
  • 01-10 PT Cruiser

This listing is for Crower DOHC valve springs. Do not ever use DOHC valve springs in a sohc as the Dohc springs have less seat pressure than the sohc.

    • customer service rep

Yes, stronger valve springs are required when installing camshafts into the Neon SRT4. This is a good choice.

Will these work for a 2005 dodge stratus sxt 2.4L?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

If your 01-06 Stratus is a coupe, it uses the Mitsubishi variant of engine and none of the Neon and SRT-4 parts will work. If your Stratus is a sedan, this part and the majority of SRT-4 and Neon parts will work. Contact us to discuss specific parts.

I'm going with the rev over size valves, pt lifters ,2.7L rockers and crower stage 3 cams. Will these work on my build or will I need stronger valve springs?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

There are no stronger valve springs. There are two models of springs made. Stock, and Stronger for use with cams. Both Crane and Crower make Dohc valve springs, and they are just about the same strength. There is no other version of their springs for bigger cams, etc. Regardless if you have Crower 1, Crower 3, etc, you use the one part number of Crane or Crower valve springs. If you have Crane cams, use the Crane valve springs. If you have Crower cams, use the Crower valve springs.
  • Jesse V.
Is there a SOHC variant of these available other than the crane brand?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Crane is the only company that has ever made 95-05 Neon Sohc aftermarket valve springs. There are no other brands for the Sohc.

Are these springs correct for the bc stage 3 cams?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Crower, and Brian Crower are two seperate companies, both founded by members of the same family. We know, it sounds silly that two seperate family members created competing companies. Anyways, if you are looking for valve springs for your Brian Crower stage 3 cams, we recommend you look at the Brian Crower valve springs as this listing is for the Crower valve springs.
