We carry JE Forged Pistons for the 03-05 Neon SRT-4 & 01-10 PT Cruiser. These pistons may also be used for other 2.4L applications, such 2.4L swapped 95-99 Neons.

Available Compression Ratios

8.0:1 (Stock Neon SRT-4 Compression)

8.5:1 (0.5 Higher for Faster Turbo Spool Up)

10.5:1 (High Compression for Non-Turbo 2.4L Applications. May also be used for turbo applications specifically tuned for E85.)

12.5:1 (High Compression for Non-Turbo 2.4L Applications)

JE Pistons are typically available in standard bore and 0.020 overbore. Other sizes, such as 0.040 overbore may be available for special order (allow 4-6 weeks). Wrist pins and locks are included, but JE Piston Rings are sold separately.

Specifically engineered for extreme applications, including professional competition.

Dome / Dish feature smooth flowing radii for excellent flame travel.

0.866 x 2.250 straight wall carbon steel wrist pin provided.

Pin fitting and spiro locks included

Please note: the 8.0 compression pistons look identical to the factory Neon SRT-4 pistons with the big ski ramp design. The 8.5:1, 10.5:1, 12.5:1 compression have a dished design like shown in the photos of the pistons above.

Will these piston s work with factory srt rods

  Yes, you can use factory SRT4 rods with these pistons. You'd need a machine shop to press the oem wrist pins out, and then swap them to the JE pistons and factory rods.

Any way these can be sold in singles. I bought this set over a year ago and had an issue with one cylinder. I need to replace one piston but id hate to have to buy all four again.

How do I know what bore size of piston I need?

  You really cant know for sure until the block is disassembled and checked. If you see any damage to the cylinder walls then you'll need to bore the cylinder out and do a overbore. If the cylinder bore is in good shape then you can do a standard bore.

  Every aftermarket piston, and aftermarket rod designed for the Neon SRT4 are designed to work with each other. The only reason for aftermarket pistons or rods to not be compatible with each other is if they change the stroke, or use a different wrist pin, but those would be custom and not standard issue parts.

Can I use pump gas 93 octane with the 12.5:1 pistons in my 2005 Neon? Its non turbo, 2.4 swapped.

  No, only race gas should be used with 12.5:1 pistons. 100 octane minimum.

How much power can these handle I can't seem to find an answer

  You'll never find anyone to publish how much power pistons can handle, because its too dependent on the tune and how you are driving. If your tune is not good, and you are going full throttle non stop, you could blow your engine with 350hp. Or you could have 800hp with a perfect tune and be fine. With that being said, all four cylinder JE pistons should have no problem handling upwards of 700+hp as long as your tune is good.
