  Yes, the satellite radio has a small antenna built into the base and is not affected by the MPx antenna at all. The antenna mast is only for FM/AM.

  Yes, you can expect to have worse reception with this stylish antenna than the OEM antenna. But, we have found most customers are listening to Satellite radio, Spotify, Apple music now a days anyways.
