Introducing the new Version 3 MPx Underdrive Pulley for the 2000-05 Neon and 1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse non turbo. This pulley is yet another redesign of the famous MPx pulley that has been out since 2001.

This underdrive pulley creates more power over the stock pulley by reducing overall weight, and size of the crank pulley. This allows your car to rev faster, and overall be much more peppy.

We provide installation instructions, as well as new belts (option) for your power steering/ac, and alternator, so its a complete installation package! (Dayco belt # Alternator 5040305, PS/AC 5040500) You need nothing else to install this other than your tools!

For the non turbo 1995-1999 Eclipse, Martin from the Czech republic told us these belt sizes:

Is this pulley CA legal?

  Is this pulley legal in California? We're not sure, but based on CARB (ultra strict emissions) rules, there are just about 1-2 items that are legal to be installed on your car for California use. This is not one of them. Its fine for use on all Neons throughout the rest of the emissions testing states in the USA.

Can you upgrade your stereo using this underdrive pulley? If so...how far can you go without charging issues?

  You can install a amp, subwoofer, but if you plan on going much larger than that with extra subs, caps, dozens of speakers, etc this is not for you.

Have there been any issues with the 2001 neons and CEL being lit after install of underdrive pulley set?

I know some years/models have had cel issues.

  We're still not sure why, but some 01-02 Magnum RT/ACR's will trip a CEL. All other regular 2.0 2000-2005 Chrysler/Dodge Neons work fine with the MPx pulley kit.

Does the MPx Underdrive Pulley come with new accessory pulleys or is it just the crankshaft pulley? Is it recommended to install new underdrive pulleys for the accessories as well?

  This is a crankshaft pulley only, does not include other pulleys. Furthermore no one makes other power steering/alternator pulleys for replacement performance use.

Do you offer a belt option that works for SOHC cars without A/C?

  As of 11/19/2015 we do not know the size of the belt for the air conditioning pump and the power steering pump. So, you could purchase this from us, and take measurements around the crankshaft pulley to the power steering and get that appropriately sized belt from your local auto parts store to use with this.

I have a 2005 dodge sx 2.0 base (no A/C) will this work for my car? Any modifications needed? And what is the average install time?

  Yes, this pulley will work, however we do not have belts for use without AC. You'd have to measure the length of the belt needed from the crank pulley to the power steering pulley and get the belt from a local auto parts store. Average install time should be about 1.5 hours.

  We have not experienced any charging issues, and we have been selling this pulley since 2001/2002. As long as you drive your car like normal you'll be fine. If you are spending lots of time idling and have a massive stereo system this may not be good for you.

  Yes, this pulley will work great on the 420A non turbo eclipse made from 1995-1999. The belts we offer will not be the right length though, and so you'd need to measure the circumference around the accessories and pulley and go to a local auto parts store to buy the belts. This is not hard to do.

All i need this pulley to run is the alternator on a 2001 neon.
Is this belt the correct size and will it work.
Useing on a race car with no powe steering or ac.

Or will tge 95-99 under drive pulleys work?

  If you just need to drive the alternator, then you can use this second gen Neon 2000-2005 pulley kit just fine. The 95-99 Neon uses a longer alternator belt, so it may not work on a 00-05 Neon.

To be sure, this works on a 04 sxt with a 2.0L and with ac? Also does the kit include a new crank bolt?

  Yes, works on all 2000-20005 Neons (Excludes Neon SRT-4). No, does not include a new bolt, most people reuse their old OEM crank bolt.
