Is this pcv elbow a check valve style or a straight through ofc elbow?

  This is the oem check valve. It has a one way valve that prevents pressure from building up into the head.

I took my pcv off and it fell apart, what happens when its broken? My rpms hang until im at a dead stop even if im not under throttle. And i started smoking like a diesel. Could that be the cause of any of this?

  If your pcv valve has an issue, or is not working, it will prevent the buildup of gases in the cylinder head and can pressurize the cylinder head, causing your car to blow smoke out the exhaust.

So this PCV valve wont work on a 03 srt4?

  No it wont. Like we explained in the product page- this only works on the 2004-2005 SRT4 and 04-07 PT Cruiser Turbo. If you have a 2003 you'll need to get the 2003 style PCV. Use the search bar and enter part number 220193-2003 to find the 2003 style pcv.
