The Dodge Caliber and a lot of other vehicles built after 2005 use a system called Drive by Wire.

The drive by wire system does not use a throttle cable between the gas pedal and the throttle body on the engine. It uses a sensor on the gas pedal to determine how much your pushing down on the pedal, and then uses a motor on the throttle body to open the throttle pedal according to how much you are pushing down on the gas. This means you don't get the immediate change in throttle like you used to with older cable driven vehicles.

This creates additional delay in throttle response, (which is no fun!)

      Will this work with aftermarket tunes such as ms1, ms1k, ms2k, hp tuners?

        This will work with stock pcms, and any tune out there, because its just adjusting the voltage output from the pedal. No matter what pcm you have, it wont even know you have a Sprint Booster installed, it will just see the incoming voltage from the pedal and change the fuel and spark tables accordingly.

      How much of a response change does this make? Is it considerable? Just wondered if your facility recommends this, and will this cause issues with either stock pcm, or MS1. Thanks

        The throttle response is immediately noticeable regardless of what pcm you have. Our employee with a CSRT4 installed one on his car and he really enjoys the Sprint Booster, he refuses to give it back to us now hehe!

      im trying to tune my srt4 caliber and one of the mechanics thats going to do it says that being that i have a drive by wire throttle body i would need a different throttle body cable so i can tune it or else i will only be getting 30-50% throttle due to the ecu regulates boost through it will this sprint booster help give me 100% throttle to my car??

        The Sprint Booster increases the throttle response on all drive by wire cars. It helps quite a bit on the Caliber SRT4 as well. One of our employees that owns a CSRT4 has tested it and been very happy with it.
