Introducing the Syked ECU for 97-99 Neons equipped with automatic transmissions!

Years ago, the Mopar ECU was the only option for 95-99 Neon owners who wanted to increase their Neon's performance. It was then discontinued by Mopar around 2010. Furthermore, Mopar never offered an ECU for automatic Neon owners!

Fast forward a few years, and there has been no option for Neon owners, but Kevin at Syked ECU's has released a flash for ECUs that has a similar increase in power and torque compared to the old Mopar ECUs.

These are OEM ECUs that have been flashed with the coding, and have the following benefits:

  • Gain 7-10 hp peak at the wheels, or even more if your car is highly modified.
  • Increased rev limiter to 7800 RPM
  • Improved fuel maps that take advantage of 93 octane gas with more timing
  • Improved throttle response, more horsepower and torque
  • No Purge System Monitoring
  • No EGR Valve Monitoring
  • No Speed Limiter

Designed for off road use only.

This item is purchased outright. You do not need to return your ECU for credit.

Note: This ECU can also be used with 2.4L Swapped Neons, but must be repinned to do so.

We offer below an option for Connector Condition, what this means, is that we are offering ECU's with damaged electrical connectors for a discount. These ECU's are still perfectly functioning, however they are not in perfect condition. Please check out the last photo in the photo section to see an example of a broken connector ecu that we are offering for a discount.

Yes, one of the improvements this pcm has over the stock pcm is an increase in rev limiter. It allows a 7800 rpm peak limit.

No. This is designed for normally aspirated use. Do not use this pcm with a turbo.

Are there supporting mods needed to use this pcm on my automatic Neon?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

You can use this with a bone stock automatic Neon or with a bunch of mods. Nothing is required except premium fuel. You will however gain more power when you have additional mods (i.e., intake, header, underdrive pulley, exhaust, etc)

So I can totally delete the catalytic converter with this? Previous owner cut out and cut wire to sensor. I will be using on a circle track car. 97 sohc auto

    • Customer Service Rep

The Syked ECU does not monitor the downstream o2 sensor, so you can remove the catalytic convertor for racing use, yes.

could this possibly work on a 01 Plymouth neon? i only ask because the ECU in my 01 looks the same with only the 2 plugs

If you needed to make this work, you could use a first gen Neon harness, along with a early 2000 style throttle body and this ecu in a 2001, but thats a lot of work. Its better to contact Syked ecu and get one of their computer flashes for the 2001.
