The bolts used with the MPx cam gears are a very high strength, flange head bolt for strength and reliability. The bolts are perfectly fine functionality wise, but for those of you that want a better looking bolt, we researched and found a Made in the USA, Polished Stainless steel bolt from ARP. These fit perfectly, have the right length and most importantly have the flange head. They also include a polished stainless washer as well.
Because we offer both SOHC and DOHC cam gears, we offer this ARP upgrade in either 5 or 10 bolt packages. The SOHC cam gear option is 5 bolts, the DOHC cam gear option is 10 bolts. So please be careful when making this purchase as it defaults to SOHC or 5 bolts. If you have a DOHC, or a pair of cam gears, then select DOHC.
