We now stock the SBEC controlled crankshaft position sensor for the early Neon, early PT Cruiser, and other vehicles using the same engine. This high quality sensor is made in the U.S.A. and bolts on the "firewall side" of the engine by cylinder 1. This sensor fits the following vehicles:
- 95-02 Neon 2.0L SOHC
- 95-99 Neon 2.0L DOHC
- 95-99 Eclipse 2.0L DOHC 420A
- 95-00 Stratus 2.0L SOHC
- 95-00 Stratus 2.4L DOHC
- 01-02 PT Cruiser 2.4L NA
The text below only applies to 1995-1996 vehicles
Please note: early Chrysler vehicles frequently came with a rounded style connector sensor. However, those rounded style sensors are getting more difficult to find and so we recommend that early Chrysler owners use this newer style connector to replace not only the old connector which may be in poor shape, but also to be able to use the more readily available 97-2002 style sensors. This connector as you can see in the photo is the square style, 1997-2002 style sensor connector and you can use the newer style sensors with this newer style connector in your older car.
