Lets take super hot exhaust gas, filled with carbon, oil and water, and then lets dump that into the intake manifold to heat up incoming air, and gum up the valves. It sounds like a good idea to heat up the intake manifold and head to reduce emissions, but in the long term, it lowers horsepower, and can cause carbon buildup. This kit deletes the EGR system and blocks off the ports on the intake manifold and on the head.

Please note: early 1995 Neon aluminum manifold SOHC owners, please buy the DOHC EGR blockoff kit instead as the aluminum manifold has dohc style EGR flanges.
