Comments: I had a Mopar short shifter and bushings. It worked well for what it was. The Hurst shifter is on another level!! No more over throw and hurting your clutch and trans! It looks amazing and feels so good! I had a 70% reduction before and this feels even shorter but tighter!! Being able to adjust it is awesome! Worth every penny!! |

Comments: Great shifter, feels alot better than the stock one. The shifts throws are shorter and more precise and the knob comes up higher as well, which i find a bit more comfortable and accessible than the stock one. It definitely improves the overall driving experience. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because of the price, but its a great product and I would recommend it to anyone with a SRT4 |

Comments: I purchased the Hurst SRT4 for my 5-speed PT Cruiser GT. It installed and works perfectly. The only difference between the SRT4 and PT Cruiser Hurst shifter is the rod length. This SRT4 Hurst is approximately 1-1/4" shorter than the GTs, and also has a slight bend rearward. This modest height difference is imperceptible. As PTGTs come factory-equipped with the Mopar STS, they have that black 13/16" spacer in place. Hurst installation instructions requires the removal of this spacer. Having installed a Hurst STS in my wife's GT some time ago, and forgetting to remove this spacer, I can say the Hurst STS will install and function with zero binding... and more positively than the Mopar STS with it in place. Keeping the spacer in place does, however, negate the purpose of buying the Hurst STS. The throw is the same. I would encourage owners of 5-speed equipped PTGTs to consider purchasing one of these shifters. They make for an improved driving experience, and confidence in quickly shifting through the gates. |

Comments: Love this shifter with booger bushings! Gears are very precise. It was a pretty stiff shift, though I prefer that. Installation was pretty easy. The instructions did leave out a step, though. You need to install a provided screw into the side of the unit to tension the spring. |

Comments: I ordered the hurst shifter from modern and it arrived amazing fast. The hurst is one of the best things that I have installed for my srt! It's absolutely amazing and the install was relatively simple. (Just be sure you have the rubber socket on the right way and not upside down or the bottom of the shifter won't clear the car). Fantastic product and another satisfied customer. Kudos to modern and hurst! |
