Comments: This is probably one of the best upgrades I've done so far on my Dart. Not only does my arm now sit much more comfortably at my side through all 6 gears (I used to have to hold my elbow up above the center console) but the shifting itself has improved immensely as well. The ball socket at the bottom of the shifter fits into a little plastic cup attached to the end of a rod. The stock height of the shifter caused too much throw to the side. This would twist that plastic cup, making it difficult to push the shifter forward into gear. Most noticeably into first. Now it just clicks right into gear with little effort. I also love how the MPX shift knob feels in my hand compared to the stock one. The aluminum gets pretty cold in the mornings, but that's what gloves are for. This gets a 5 star review all the way! |

Comments: Great product for the price, doesn't feel like a race car or anything but definitely a vast improvement over the stock setup. Take your time during the install, pay attention to both the worded directions as well as the pictures |

Comments: I was on the fence about getting this kit but I am really glad that I did. When I would drive some of my buddies' cars, I would always think, "this is what a manual should feel like, not what is in my dart." The instructions provided by MPX were clear and very helpful. Installation took about 2 hours. The angle correction definitely puts the shifter at a much more comfortable angle but by far the part that made the most noticeable difference was the solid shifter bushings. I did not realize how much play there was with the whole shifter assembly until the first time I ran my car through the gears with the MPX base bushings. It feels like a proper stick shift should and actually makes downshifting MUCH easier and cleaner. Highly recommend! |
