Comments: My stock bushings were completely missing on the transmission side. Slapped these in and the shifting is much improved. Don't have to worry about these wearing out. |

Comments: Soild shifter bushings you'll never break. However, they're a nightmare to remove, so I'd recommend buying extra in the event you destroy them upon removal. |

Comments: My brother replaced the bushings with OEM a year ago and they were already worn out. I replaced them with these and the car has never shifted so good. Shifting is rock solid with no play and firmly goes into gear, better than ever before! |

Comments: Had no idea I really needed these. I bought them based on everyone's reviews. As it turned out, only one of the four original bushings was still in good condition. The large bushing on the transmission was completely gone and the small one wasn't far behind. I knew the shifter had gotten sloppier over the years, but the change had been so gradual, I didn't realize how bad it had gotten. The shifter now feels as good, if not better, than when the car was brand new. By far, the best improvement you can do to your car for under $20. The difference is unbelievable. |

Comments: The Neon shift bushings are AWESOME! Not only a very small fraction of the cost of relacing the entire linkage, they give a better feel. And shipped quickly. The stock bushings just wear out, but are also stressed when changing the timing belt - these are a god-send! |

Comments: I bought these Booger Bushings on a PT Cruiser forum recommendation....very glad I did!! My 2 bushings under the hood were actually not there...they completely wore away....gee, maybe that's why my shifter was soo sloppy!?! I installed the 2 and my shifter is like new!! Nice and tight!! A heads up if you own a PT GT (I don't know if you will run into this on a normal PT or not)...you will have to remove the two bolts that hold the fuse box on (as well, of course, as the airbox) in order to get to the second bushing located towards the firewall (move the fuse box out of the way). I used pliers for the big bushing because of bad leverage and the smaller bushing you can use a fingers to palm squeeze to seat it. 15 minute install!! Enjoy |

Comments: This should be on your neon even if your stock ones haven't gone bad yet. Seriously its a 100% noticeable and improved difference! It took me 20 minutes to install. Remove the center console (4 screws) and remove the battery and battery housing. Once you get under the battery and console, it took me 2 minutes to install the two on the shifter and two on the transmission. SO EASY and SO MUCH BETTER! |

Comments: I have just installed these bushings at the transmission end of the cables on my 97 Neon. I was skeptical of the claim that all I needed was the bushings (the large one was completely missing) as I thought I'd need a clip of some kind. But sure enough they do indeed lock to the pin. I got plenty of access by unclipping the fuse box on the back of the battery tray, no need to remove the battery. I seated them finally by a couple of hammer whaps on the end of a 2ft length of 1/2" pvc water pipe. Transformed the gearshift feel. Assuming they don't come off its a winner. |
