Comments: I bought this intake because of AGP's reputation of quality parts, It was a great price as well. The first thing I noticed about this cold air intake is there are ZERO mounting brackets. Once installed the intake feels like it's unsecure.you can grab it and shake it up- down and side to side. If I could do it again I would by the AEM which has a support bracket on each part of the intake with rubber insulators for each to combat vibration and free movement. The AGP finish is very budget minded, which can be good or bad depending on your needs. The last part that bugs me is if your using the stock turbo you receive a coupler which is 3in on both ends. They then send you another coupler which is 1in wide with a 2.5id acting as a reducer. you need to install the 2.5 inside of the 3in to the turbo inlet. I guess this is why they can call it a true 3" intake.In reality it's a terrible design which can destroy your turbo if your clamp is not exact. They know it's an issue which is why on the installation directions it says (in bold) they won't be held liable for turbo failure if the cupler is sucked into the inlet. No other intake states this in their directions because they use proper fitting parts. Agp let me down. |
