Modern Performance
It shouldn't, as this does not change the way your motor operates. It's still controlled by the factory vacuum lines and therefore is a very safe mod.

No, you will not have any check engine lights with this. Its simply a factory replacement and it functions just like a factory oem diverter valve.

What kind of maitnance does the diverter valve need? Also what are springs boost recommendations?
customer service rep
Forge does not make note of any maintenance needed, however every few years it wouldnt hurt to dissasemble it, clean it and use grease to lubricate it. You may have to contact Forge for specs on the grease used.
There is a spring thats pre-installed, thats good for low to mid 20 psi of boost. You can switch to the other spring if your boost is not staying solid and is tapering off.

Is there any tuning required or is it just replace and go ?
Customer Service Rep
For this valve, you can install it and not have to do any tune. If you get the VENTED valve (the other one we offer), which releases air to atmosphere, you'll need to get a tune for that one as it will change the way the car runs.

If I have the high boost spring (yellow) in will it only blow off at high boost? Or is it only ment to withstand high boost but still blow off at low boost
Customer Service Rep
This valve will blow off regardless of which spring you have. The difference is that the stronger springs can tolerate higher boost levels better. The danger is that if you put in too strong of a spring it will not open properly and you wont have much noise, and you'll have some compressor surge.

This will work on the 2011-2013 buick regal 2.0 lnf turbo engines right?
Customer Service Rep
Yes, this works on many 2008-17 GM Turbo 2.0 four cylinders including the Cobalt, HHR, Solstice, Saturn Sky, Fisker Karma, Buick Regal, Saab 9-3 and 9-5, Buick Verano, Cadillac ATS, Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Camaro and more.

I have a 2008 cobalt ss w/ z54 turbo is this good for it?
Customer Service Rep
We are not familiar with that turbo, but if that turbo can use the OEM diverter and has the three bolt flanged diverter, than this would work.

The only difference between this and the Atmospheric version is the sound? This one doesn't require a tune.. Can you still hear this diverter valve louder thro the intake or is it quiet like factory.
Customer Service Rep
Correct, the Atmospheric valve releases to atmosphere. In a car with a mass air flow sensor like the Cobalt, releasing to atmosphere can cause drivability issues as the car will go very rich. Thats why we do not recommend that one. The normal Forge valve is fairly quiet. You can hear it a little bit (its louder if you have a aluminum or metal tubing air intake). If you read the reviews, there are many people that posted reviews on this product (click on Read or Write Review below the title of this item) and one of them mentioned this valve is slightly noticeable but not loud.
